I used to only dream about bigger adventures. Then I got cancer. When I discovered Climb for Hope, I found the support I needed ~ not just to climb a mountain, but to reach personal summits in healing, confidence, and transformation. Now I’m on my sixth climb and have helped raise over $25,000 for research.

THE CAUSE

When Andy Buerger's sister, Jodi, was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer in 2004, he felt he had to move quickly to find a cure. Her courage and strength led Andy to found an organization dedicated to speeding up work on a treatment. Since then, Climb for Hope has raised over $750,000 for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis vaccine research.

THE RESEARCH

As we often hear, enormous progress has been made in breast cancer treatment – yet up to 40% of people diagnosed with breast cancer still relapse and die from the disease. It affects women and men in the prime of their lives, and their children. We need to do better. Imagine if something could teach your body to seek out and destroy cancer cells as they develop.
